My 5-yr old daughter spent her own birthday money on this LEGO Friends: Advent Calendar and we thought she had made a wise choice. What an utter disappointment for her and for us, knowing how much she had spent on it. Every morning we expected to finally find a decent item but no, she has ended up with a collection of odds and ends, all small and naff. Christmas Eve was the highlight with some sort of corner table with pretend Lego jewels and a wig on a stand! When you open the box, you see a picture of a character on a horse and cart - you do not get them. You see a cat and a dog, but you only get the dog etc. One day you get a pair of skis, another a handbag. It's rather miserly.

I've just bought the LEGO Friends: Advent Calendar (3316) for my 5 year old daughter who loves LEGO, and I have to say it's great! The last few years we've had the usual chocolate advent calendars but I've not really liked them. However, this year will be different. In the set there are 24 small gifts including two mini dolls, a dog and lots of accessories which means that my daughter will be happy and so am I!

Finally LEGO for girls and a matching advent calendar. My daughter's are very excited to start opening the LEGO Friends: Advent Calendar. For such a small price, it will bring so much fun!
