PG Le Male Elixir is now officially one of the iconic foundational sweet, gourmand fragrances. It receives so much hate now because it became very popular on TikTok, but it became popular for good reason. Every hobby and field has its snobs. The cologne community is no exception. Buy what you like. Don't let the quirky niche snobs tell you otherwise. We all know you guys love your Inexcusable Evil and $400 fragrances, and that's good for you. But the truth is, no one in public cares if you wear niche or not. They care about if you smell good or not. Le Male Elixir is a sweet, gourmand fragrance that is soft through and through. The notes of vanilla, honey, lavender, mint, and tobacco all combine to form a concoction that is a scent for a sore nose. The projection, sillage, and longevity are all first class. All you need is 2 sprays for a nice scent bubble. 3 max. Any more and you may start offending some people. But it's an elixir so it makes sense. I get at least 8-12 hours of longevity out of it. I wouldn't blind buy this one because it is indeed very sweet, and you may have a preference on how sweet you want your fragrances. At first whiff I actually didn't get the hype, but I tried it again after embracing the scent profile and fell in love. You can find it discounted and online but good luck, it's always sold out. I folded and hunted it in retail and finally found it at Dilliard's. Personally, $152 for 4.2 oz of juice is great value, especially for the elixir concentration. You have brands like Dior and YSL dropping elixirs that are $200+ at 3.3 oz, so you won't find me complaining about this price, especially for 4.2 oz. You can always get the 2.5 oz bottle too which will last you a long time still since you won't be using many sprays of this fragrance per day. Overall, this fragrance is amazing, and the hate for it is not justified. Until the end of time, people will always hate on what's popular. And no, everyone will not smell like le male elixir. The truth is, the majority of the population doesn't even wear fragrances besides deodorant. So wear what you want, and if this appeals to you then make yourself happy and buy it.

So, this fragrance to me atleast is mainly honey and a slight, always there amber. and if you smell closely you'll also get vanilla and a sweet smell, maybe from the honey. Apparently, there is tobacco, lavender, and fresh spicy accords in this, which I do not smell. This easily lasts atleast 6 hours on me, while still being able to smell it!
Projection is, for me, pretty intimate. My girlfriend says she can only smell it when she is next to me, so that is definitely a plus in some situations as it smells so great!
As far as versatility goes, I would recommend you using this really only with that special someone, as I cannot see another reason to reach for this specifically.
This spin-off of Le Male Le Parfum, is very similar; however, the Elixir has that soft and pleasant vanilla and honey as a base, while Le Parfum has a powdery vanilla and nice lavender as the base and really, only smell.
Both Le Parfum and Elixir are great, but I would recommend Elixir as it is a little more unique, and more worth the price!

I've been using JPG Le Male since the mid 90's. I never thought that JPG could top that fragrance until I tried Elixir Parfum. At 1st I tried Elixir before I decided to buy it. Change is not easy. I thought it was way too intense on the skin, but after 20 min... wow! That "intense" 1st impression was wrong; once the intensity dissipated; it started to release over the skin a combination of delicate scents. I can't really put into words how beautiful Elixir is. One thing I can say for sure is that I am alternating between JPG Le Male (almost everyday) & JPG Le Parfum (whenever I want heads to turn). Yes I've been asked several times already "What am I wearing-it's beautiful!".
If you're a JPG Fan you can't go wrong with this. Stays on your skin for many hours & after the 1st 15 min you spray it on your skin that super intense 1st impression that can be smelled from very far away changes into a delicate & persistent sweet smell.
Again; if you're a fan of JPG this will never disappoint.
Worth the money.

This might be the most perfect winter fragrance of all time. The scent opens up with fresh mint, lavender, vanilla and benzoin (benzoin smells almost like cough syrup), and this is my favourite part of the fragrance. It's very smoothly blended too. As the scent progresses the freshness of the mint and lavender go away and you're left with vanilla, honey, tobacco and benzoin, which is where I start to dislike this fragrance (but it still deserves 5 stars because even though I don't like it, it's still perfect) because the tobacco almost feels salty and dry in a way that's not pleasing to me. What is pleasing though is the performance on this thing, it's nuts. It's got the projection of ultra male (really strong, 3 sprays walking through IKEA felt like too much on my first wear) and the longevity of le male le parfum (well over 12 hours and it projects the whole time). The bottle is also really cool and feels so nice, it's presented very well.
